Discover the art of pyrography in this creative and hands-on 1.5-hour beginner workshop. Taught by Amanda Magdalena, a passionate maker and experienced teacher, this class blends technique, storytelling, and craft into one engaging experience.
We’ll start with a brief introduction to the history of woodburning, then dive into practicing techniques—experimenting with various pen tips, heat settings, and scrap wood. You’ll then select a stencil and an 11″ x 13″ wood slab to bring your design to life. With guidance and tools provided, you’ll create a unique piece sealed with tung or teak oil for a beautiful finish.
By the end of class, you’ll have a custom charcuterie board, a creative wooden wall piece, or whatever you can dream up. This is a great class for beginners—no experience necessary, just come ready to create.
