BRING THEM!

Many of our individual workshops are designed for groups of up to eight, but larger groups are welcome.

Depending on the experience, we can split larger parties into smaller groups, offer different craft experiences at the same time, or create a rotation that works with our studio spaces and instructors. Have 12 people? 15? A group with different interests?

GROUPS WE’VE WELCOMED

Scout Troop | Leatherwork Merit Badge

A Scout troop joined us for a hands-on leatherworking experience centered around earning their Leatherwork Merit Badge. Scouts worked alongside their leaders while learning directly from our instructors.

Review: “We brought our Scout Troop to the Rocky Mountain Folk School to do the Leatherwork Merit Badge. It could not have been any better. Isaac and his wife were so great with our scouts and a few adult leaders also joined in. The school is a gem. The equipment they have there is incredible. If it was closer to Denver, I’d probably set up a cot and live there. 😉”

Family Group of 13 | Spinner Rings + Leather Belts

A family group of 13 wanted to create together but had different interests. We divided the group so everyone could choose the experience they preferred. Some created spinner rings in the silversmithing studio, while others tooled their own leather belts.

This is a good example of how we can accommodate larger groups without requiring everyone to participate in the same craft.

Review: “Amazing activity for groups or families. Our family group enjoyed making spinner rings and leather belts (everyone chose which activity they preferred). The teachers were fantastic, and the final results were beautiful. For some of our group, this was a favorite activity during our week-long stay in Colorado. Highly recommended!”

Corporate Group of 12 | Leather Luggage Tags

A corporate group of 12 joined us for a private leatherworking experience and created personalized leather luggage tags.

They had a wonderful experience and left with handmade keepsakes from their time together in Grand Lake.

12 coworkers. One afternoon. 12 handmade keepsakes.

These Are Just a Few of the Experiences We Can Create.

The three featured workshops are just a starting point.

Rocky Mountain Folk School offers a variety of traditional and contemporary crafts, and additional private workshop options may be available depending on group size, interests, instructor availability, and the amount of time available.

We can work with groups to find an experience that fits their needs — even if everyone in the group doesn’t want to make the same thing.
